Surprise Tiramisu Balls
Ingredients
- 300g Ladyfinger Biscuits
- 250g Mascarpone or Cream Cheese
- 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup Espresso or Filter coffee
- 1 packet Vanilla
- For the Filling:
- 300ml Milk (1.5 cups)
- 1 tablespoon Flour
- 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tablespoons Granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon Cream Cheese
- Cocoa powder
Instructions
Mix all the filling ingredients except the cream cheese in a small saucepan and cook on the stove. Once the pudding is cooled, add the cream cheese and whisk until smooth.
Crush the biscuits in a food processor. Mix mascarpone, powdered sugar, vanilla, coffee, and crushed biscuits in a bowl.
Take portions of the mixture and roll them into mandarin-sized balls. Make a dent in the center of each ball with your finger (just like making stuffed meatballs ☺️). Fill the dent with the prepared pudding, then seal and roll the balls again. Sprinkle cocoa powder on top. Chill in the fridge for about an hour before serving.
