Delicious honey cake
Ingredients
- For the batter:
- 2 eggs
- 150 grams sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 50 grams honey
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 100 grams butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 450 grams flour
- 💜For the cream:
- 200 grams butter
- 1 packet vanilla sugar
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 💜For the glaze:
- 1 coffee cup of milk
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 20 grams butter
Instructions
In a bowl suitable for a water bath, mix eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt. Whisk together, then add honey and butter.
Place the bowl over a water bath, heat while stirring until uniform. Add baking soda and mix well. Cook the honey mixture for 15-18 minutes until it turns a light caramel color.
Remove the bowl from the water bath and immediately add the flour gradually, mixing continuously.
Transfer the dough to a work surface and divide it into 5 parts. Roll out each part thinly on parchment paper. Bake each layer at about 190°C (375°F) for approximately 5 minutes.
Prepare the cream while the layers cool: Beat butter in a bowl for about 10 minutes, then add vanilla and sweetened condensed milk, beating until a fluffy white mixture forms. Spread this cream between the 5 layers.
For the glaze, take a coffee cup of milk, 1 tablespoon sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa, and 20 grams of butter. Mix and heat on the stove until bubbles appear. Remove from heat and cover the cake with the glaze. Chill the cake in the fridge overnight.
