Chocolate Peanut Butter Bliss Brownies

Decadent, fudgy brownies layered with creamy peanut butter and topped with silky chocolate ganache—an irresistible treat that’s sure to satisfy every chocolate and peanut butter lover!

Ingredients

  • For the Brownies:
  • 1 box of brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on the box)
  • For the Peanut Butter Layer
  • 3 tbsp softened butter
  • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • For the Chocolate Ganache:
  • 4 oz chopped chocolate (bittersweet or semi-sweet)
  • 3 tbsp heavy cream

Instructions

1. Prep the Brownie Base

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan. Line it with parchment paper, leaving some overhang to make lifting the brownies easier. Prepare the brownie mix as directed on the package and pour two-thirds of the batter into the pan. Set the remaining batter aside for later.

2. Make the Peanut Butter Filling

In a bowl, mix softened butter, peanut butter, and powdered sugar until smooth and spreadable. If it's too thick, stir in a tablespoon of milk to loosen it up. Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture over the brownie batter in the pan and gently spread it out.

3. Add the Remaining Brownie Batter

Carefully spread the remaining brownie batter over the peanut butter layer. Don’t worry if some of the peanut butter peeks through—it will all blend beautifully as it bakes!

4. Bake

Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs. Let the brownies cool completely before adding the ganache.

5. Prepare the Chocolate Ganache

While the brownies cool, heat heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl for about 30 seconds, until it's hot but not boiling. Pour it over the chopped chocolate, cover the bowl, and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, stir until smooth and glossy.

6. Add the Ganache

Pour the ganache over the cooled brownies and spread it evenly with a spatula. For best results, refrigerate for at least an hour before slicing.

Storage Tips

  • Fridge: Store in an airtight container for up to one week—the ganache will stay perfect, and the brownies will remain fudgy!
  • Freezer: Wrap individual brownies in plastic wrap and place them in a freezer-safe bag. They’ll stay fresh for up to three months. When ready to enjoy, thaw in the fridge or microwave for a few seconds for that fresh-baked taste!
