Ingredients
- Cookie Dough
- 8 oz dark chocolate (60% cocoa), chopped
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cut into chunks
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 3 tablespoons vegetable or canola oil
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup mini chocolate chips
- Rolling:
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
Instructions
Melt the Chocolate:
Combine the chopped dark chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave on low power in 20-second intervals, stirring until melted and smooth. Set aside.
Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
Prepare Wet Ingredients:
In a mixing bowl, combine the oil and both sugars.
Mix in the eggs one at a time.
Add the sour cream and vanilla extract, mixing well.
Combine Ingredients:
Stir the melted chocolate into the wet ingredients.
Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing just until combined.
Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
Chill the Dough:
Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Preheat the Oven:
