If you haven’t experienced the joy of dessert tacos yet, I highly recommend whipping up a batch of these delightful treats this weekend. Here’s how you can make them:
Ingredients:
For the Chocolate Tacos:
- Soft tortilla wraps
- 7 ounces (about 200g) of dark or milk chocolate
For the Oreo Filling:
- 5.8 ounces (165g) of cream cheese (Philadelphia works well)
- 1 packet of Oreo cookies
- 1 tablespoon of icing sugar
Method:
- Start by cutting out 6 circles from the tortilla wraps using a cookie cutter.
- Place them in the gaps of an upside-down cupcake tin and bake for about 6-7 minutes at 160°C.
- Melt the chocolate and dip the cooled tortilla tacos into the chocolate.
- Blitz the Oreo cookies in a food processor and then add them to a bowl along with the cream cheese and icing sugar. Mix everything together with a spoon, and transfer the mixture into a piping bag.
- Now, for the fun part – assembling the tacos. Fill each taco with the Oreo cream cheese filling, top them with Oreo cookie crumbs, and garnish with broken Oreo cookies. Drizzle some melted chocolate over the top, and you’re ready to enjoy your Chocolate Covered Oreo Tacos!
