All my favorite desserts, coming together and creating my new favorite dessert. You have to try this Chocolate Caramel Brownie Trifle Recipe. It is so easy to make and has so much flavor. It’s the perfect dessert for feeding a crowd.
My husband is a HUGE trifle fan. He had a birthday recently but doesn’t always love cake, so I whipped this up instead. It is so easy and tastes absolutely divine.
It is layered with brownies, chocolate, caramel, whipped cream, and more.
You could easily replace anything in this recipe with something you like more. That’s why I love this recipe, it is so versatile and I can switch out the candy or toppings as needed to make it a favorite for everyone.
If you are not a caramel fan, you could easily replace the caramel with any of your other favorite brownie toppings. Here are a few of our favorite:
- Pеаnut butter
- Frоѕtіng
- Chосоlаtе ѕаuсе оr hоt fudgе
- Rаѕрbеrrу оr сhеrrу filling
- Iсе сrеаm (but juѕt bе sure tо frееzе іt).
Then add your desired toppings. My kids love M&M’s, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Sprinkles, etc.
If you don’t have a trifle bowl, don’t worry about it. You don’t need to go buy one. You could easily make this recipe without one.
We recommend using just a normal glass bowl, or even a tall 9×13 inch glass pan. You obviously won’t be able to layer it as much if you use a 9×13 inch pan, but that won’t matter.
The only problem with trifles is, they usually need to be stored in the fridge, and they usually have some type of softer food or liquid to them.
When these foods get refrigerated, they can often go soggy.
I would say this recipe could be made in the morning and served later that night, however, I wouldn’t go more than making it a day ahead of time.
However, you could prepare all the ingredients, separately, the night before, then assemble it the next day.
I usually make my brownies, cut them up, slice up my snickers bar, prepare my filling, and place them all in the fridge, or aside, then assemble it an hour before my guests arrive.
I wouldn’t recommend making it too far in advance. Just the day of, when you plan serving it.
