These pumpkin brownies are the ultimate fudgy, decadent treats, perfect for the fall season. What’s even better? They’re super easy to whip up in just one bowl in under 10 minutes!
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) melted butter
- 1 cup (about 6 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips or a chocolate bar
- 2 eggs at room temperature
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
INSTRUCTIONS
- Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease an 8×8-inch square pan. For easy removal of the brownies, line the bottom and two sides of the pan with parchment paper, greasing it once more before setting it aside.
- To create a double boiler, take a medium-sized heatproof bowl and add the butter and chocolate. Melt and stir these over low to medium heat until they’re well combined. Once they’re nicely melted, remove the bowl from the heat and set it aside to cool.
- In a large bowl, it’s time to beat the eggs and white sugar until they’re light and foamy, creating some bubbles. This step is key to achieving that classic brownie crinkle with a shiny top that we all adore.
- Measure out the pumpkin puree and, using a couple of paper towels, gently blot it to remove any excess liquid. Then, add the pumpkin puree into the bowl along with the vanilla and continue mixing.
- Incorporate the slightly cooled butter-chocolate mixture into the mix and stir until everything is well combined. The batter should now have a lovely light brown color.
- Toss in all the dry ingredients—flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently fold these in until no dry streaks are visible. Keep in mind that this batter will be on the thinner side compared to other brownie batters. Finally, add in the chocolate chips and mix a few times to distribute them evenly.
- Transfer this delightful batter into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly. If you’re a fan of extra chocolate, go ahead and add more chocolate chips on top. Pop the pan in the oven and bake the brownies for 25-30 minutes. To check for doneness, insert a toothpick—it should come out fudgy. If it’s too wet, it needs more time. Continue to bake in 5-minute intervals until the center is fudgy while the edges are set.

Once the brownies are out of the oven, let them cool, slice them into squares, and dive into pure brownie bliss! Enjoy! 🍫🎃👌
