Here’s how you make it:
Ingredients:
Cake:
- 1 3/4 cups (200g) butter
- 1 cup (200g) sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 3/4 cups (200g) all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 cups (200g) ground nuts
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 3.5 oz (100g) dark chocolate
Cream:
- 1 3/4 cups (400g) heavy cream
- 8.8 oz (250g) low-fat quark (or low-fat Greek yogurt)
- 1/3 cup (40g) sugar
Others:
- 6.8 fl oz (200ml) eggnog
- 3.5 oz (100g) chocolate shavings
- Beat the butter with sugar and eggs until creamy.
- Gradually add the flour, baking powder, and ground nuts to the mixture.
- Melt the chocolate in a double boiler and fold it into the batter. Bake in a 10-inch form for about 30 minutes at 320°F (160°C) convection.
- For the cream, beat the heavy cream until stiff. Gradually add the sugar and mix in the quark.
- Spread the cream on the cooled base, creating a slight hollow in the center.
- Decorate the edge with chocolate shavings and pour eggnog into the center.
- Chill the cake for 1 hour.
