If you love rich, fudgy brownies, this homemade Chocolate Chip Brownie recipe will be a game-changer! Forget the box mix—these brownies are incredibly easy to make, packed with deep chocolate flavor, and come out perfect every time. Once you try them, you’ll want to bake a batch over and over again!

Why You’ll Love These Brownies

Super easy to make – The batter comes together in minutes with simple ingredients.
Deep, rich chocolate flavor – Thanks to dark cocoa powder and melty chocolate chips, these brownies are irresistibly chocolaty.
Perfect texture – Fudgy, moist, and topped with a classic crackly top, these are seriously the best homemade brownies!

Tips for the Best Brownies

Beat the sugar and eggs well – The mixture should be pale yellow and slightly frothy for the best texture.
Mix the cocoa powder with melted butter first – This trick helps create an ultra-fudgy consistency.
Don’t overbake – Remove the brownies when a toothpick inserted near the edges comes out with a few moist crumbs. They’ll continue cooking slightly in the pan.
Let them cool before cutting – Give them at least 30 minutes to set; otherwise, they may crumble when sliced.

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup dark cocoa powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon table salt
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup mini chocolate chips
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat & Prep – Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with foil (optional) and spray with nonstick baking spray.

2️⃣ Mix the chocolate base – In a bowl, whisk together the melted butter and cocoa powder until smooth. Set aside.

3️⃣ Whip the eggs & sugar – In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until light in color. Add the sugar and vanilla extract, then beat again until well combined.

4️⃣ Combine the ingredients – Stir the chocolate butter mixture into the egg mixture until fully incorporated.

5️⃣ Add dry ingredients – Sift together the flour, salt, and baking powder, then gently fold them into the wet ingredients. Be careful not to overmix!

6️⃣ Fold in the chocolate chips – Stir them in by hand for bursts of melty chocolate in every bite.

7️⃣ Bake – Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.

8️⃣ Cool & Serve – Let the brownies cool completely before slicing into 9 squares. For an extra touch, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
