- 15 oz red velvet cake mix
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 2 tablespoons vanilla frosting (like Pillsbury Creamy Supreme)
- 12 oz white candy melts (like Wilton)
- Extra red food coloring (optional, for decorating)
- 1 tablespoon dipping aid
Instructions
Prepare the Cake:
In a large bowl, combine the red velvet cake mix, vegetable oil, eggs, and water until smooth. Using an electric hand mixer works best for this.
Spray a 9x13 inch baking pan with nonstick spray, then pour the red velvet cake batter inside.
Bake at 350°F (175°C) according to the instructions on the cake mix box.
